Oatied Out

I have a bad case of the munchies!  I haven’t stopped eating all day!  At least it’s all been delicious.  ;)

Lunch was rice bread with leftover tuna salad from yesterday and some tomato soup.

That’s a bad weather, Saturday lunch.

In the afternoon, I set out to make Heather’s oaties.  How can you not want to make something with a name like oatie?!

Here’s the bowl before I mixed in the toasted oats:

There’s only one problem with this recipe: it’s way too good so I ended up eating a ton of the raw ‘batter’ before they made it to the oven.  These things are awesome!  I made mine with peanut butter + raisins + almonds + apricots + part honey/part agave.

I ate some granola with almond milk and half a bowl of oatie mix  while I baked.

And then I dove into the pickle jar.  Yup.

And more oatie mix followed.

I wasn’t very hungry for supper but I had roast beef in the oven all afternoon and wasn’t about to not enjoy it.  Meat haters, avert your eyes!

I did get some veggies in, although not many, and I’ve been craving them this afternoon.  I’m almost out of produce… tomorrow is definitely grocery day.

Dessert was a billion dates that I didn’t take a picture of and plain yogurt + blueberries.  And I ate an oatie so fast that I couldn’t take a picture!

Seriously, I am full, verging on uncomfortably so.

Movie watching time…

Goodnight!

  1. Adi,
I bet your house smelled amazing with Oatie baking and that roast beef cooking all day. :)

So glad you enjoyed the dough, um, I mean cookies. Ha ha - I only bake those when CD is not at home because otherwise he picks at the dough until there is nothing left.

Hope the movie was good and that some sunshine comes your way soon.

    Have a good week!

The oaties look so delicious! I want to make them, but first I want to try raw donut holes! Maybe I’ll make some this week…

What brand of soup is that?? I always get the Campbell’s one because I like the taste but if yours is a little more natural I think I would give it a try ;)

It’s Campbells indeed! And then I promptly got a stomach ache afterward… read the label… and saw “enriched wheat flour.” It was good though in the way only Campbells can be. :)
