Loaf Lovin’

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The excitement has not died off!  It’s been almost eight hours since I sunk my teeth into some delicious homemade bread and I’m still on cloud nine about it!

Does Bob ever disappoint?  Nope.

So a lot of the time, gluten free bread is stale-tasting, or “meant to be toasted” and light years away from being chewy and soft.  Leave it to Bob and the gluten-free bread cycle on the bread machine to produce this loaf of love:

This was still warm when I turned it into a hummus + spinach + tomato.  It took everything in me not to just pound the entire loaf of bread.

Check out all the little seeds in that bread.  Nope, the excitement has not faded one ounce.

I had the leftover tabbouleh salad, too.

Shoppercise

My lunch fuelled me up for an afternoon of shopping.  Bahhh.  I think my wardrobe is set for life spring and summer.

I figured I was on a spending spree, so what’s a few more bucks for supper?

Sushi time!

june 6 bread 019I went to a new place called “Go For Sushi” – every time I see the sign I laugh.  How demanding… go for sushi.  Well, I listened.  I picked some up on the way home from the stores and it was fantastic.

I baked muffins earlier today too for a friend, blueberry vanilla from my Cooking Light cookbook.  I didn’t snap pictures though because I forgot.  The chickpea salad I made for a BBQ tomorrow afternoon didn’t get photographed either – because I made it half an hour ago and was too tired to snap pictures.  Just imagine chickpeas with various ingredients in a bowl…

I’m a bad blogger today!

I also ate an unphotographed apple between stores this morning, before I came home to the house smelling like fresh bread.  Actually, I could smell the bread from the back gate.  Bliss.

I had some dates for dessert and I’m calling it a day.  It’s been a busy Saturday of running around and lots of time in the kitchen.  Tomorrow will be a fun day though… church in the morning, bbq in the afternoon and a friend’s birthday party in the evening.

Time to put away all the purchases… and not think about the money that is forever missing from my bank account…

Adi

PS – Congrats mon amie, on the engagement!!!
