About Oatonomy

Welcome to Oatonomy!

This blog is about my efforts to live a simple, healthy life.  My goal for this blog is to show others that living a healthy life can be easy and enjoyable.  It’s not about sacrificing what you love, but instead, it’s about loving who you are and prioritizing your health.  The right to make healthy choices is yours, and I hope you’ll be encouraged to exercise that right (no pun intended!).  If you’re already embracing a simple, healthy and balanced life, good for you!  It would be great if you found encouragement on this blog to keep doing whatever you’re doing.

Oatonomy is an honest blog, and because I’m only human, I’m not going to hide my slip-ups: skipped workouts, afternoon binges, too much caffeine and too little water… the list goes on.  Living the best way I can means acknowledging that no one is perfect and recognizing that making healthy choices is a long-term commitment, not a short-lived fad.  The slip-ups happen and life goes on; there’s no sense in pretending otherwise!  This blog can demonstrate that even when we choose the couch over the treadmill or the cookie over the carrot sticks, we can still make other healthy choices to balance that and continue working toward long-term goals for overall health and wellness.

I will be showing most of the food I eat and keeping you updated on my exercise routine.  I’ll also share interesting health information, the occasional recipe, advice on making healthy choices and hopefully some inspiration.  If there’s something you would like to see on Oatonomy, send me an email at adi@oatonomy.com and let me know.

I hope you enjoy Oatonomy as much as I love working on it!  Here’s to a simple, healthy life!
