Obviously, I had to wait until I had a manicure to show off this next gadget.

It’s what’s underneath the ring that’s actually the best part.

A ring peeler!

You hold a potato (or whatever else you’re peeling) in your other hand and just run your hand with the peeler over it – okay, I guess I don’t really need to explain that.

At first glance, you might think this is a cheap peeler that won’t get the job done.  Wrong, my friend!  This baby is sharp as anything and hasn’t gotten dull. 

The gadget is actually my mom’s that I took from this well-organized, tidy drawer (she’s horrified this picture is on the blog):

Back to the gadget – on a 5 point scale, I give it a 4.2.

I would give it a higher score but it’s not a gadget that gets used frequently enough to get more points, and that does play into the final score, you know.

I gave it the extra .2 because it’s the only peeler my dad will use to peel potatoes.  And if you knew my dad, you’d know that says a lot, considering the only thing he does in the kitchen is make an occasional sandwich and peel potatoes.  (It’s okay Dad).
